We offer 3 educational
tracks:
Having taught
hundreds of accountants, bookkeepers and business owners how to use QuickBooks, we have a few recommendations based on our
experience. We do not require
prerequisites for any class, but these suggestions will help you make the most of your time and investment.
We recommend every user take our “Yes, QuickBooks is Accounting”
session to more fully understand the impact their actions have on “the big picture.” While you may not need to
be an accountant to use QuickBooks, understanding these basic concepts will apply across every area of QuickBooks and will
impact your successful recordkeeping everyday.
In general, we recommend completing the
essentials courses that apply to your
business prior to attending the enhanced sessions.
Essentials sessions cover the
basic elements of QuickBooks required to manage your daily business functions. If you have taught yourself how to use QuickBooks,
start with essentials. Most frustrations
are caused by misunderstanding how to use QuickBooks at the fundamental level. As a rule of thumb, QuickBooks Users with less
than 5 years of experience will benefit from essentials
level instruction.
Essentials are divided into two levels. Essentials
apply to every company using QuickBooks as a complete bookkeeping system. Essentials II
contain lessons that may not apply to every company. For instance, if you do not have employees you will not need any
of the Payroll related classes -but for those that do, these classes are essential.
Review the offerings of Essentials II for
tasks applicable to your company.
Enhanced
sessions offer ways to improve your efficiency with QuickBooks. These topics rely on a clear
understanding of QuickBooks essential concepts.
While not required, we encourage you to take the associated essentials
class prior to enhanced sessions. We also recommend "brushing up" your skills with essentials
sessions if you have taught yourself to use QuickBooks.
Extras sessions are offfered for those that
use the alternative methods for portions of QuickBooks data entry (listed in the course description) or for special requested
